Slaves had many reasons to escape, but still many decided not to. Why was escape a difficult decision to make for slaves?

Beqause the slaves could get killed in doing so, and they would also leave some of there loved ones behind

Most attempts to escape failed, as an attempt failed, would the slave probably become a heavy penalty or perhaps the death, these forests most. If you've managed to escape you would still do not know where to go, you have no food, so you would dye of hunger. As a result, the slaves were afraid to escape and stay to work, hoping for a better day.

If slaves would get captured, they would get punished really hard. If they managed to escape they also had to be lucky that people wanted to help them with things like food and sleeping. It was a really long trip to freedom as well.

the change they get caught was very high. so it was very dangerous to escape. if they get caught there was a opportunity that they won't see their family back.

The most attempts to escape faild. If they got away they didn't know were to stay and eventually they pay the people who find the slaves.

Escaping was a dangerous activity. If you got caught, you would get killed. And if you escaped, your surviving chance was very low. No food, no water and so on

A lot of slaves wanted to escape. If you managed to escape you didn't know where to go, without any food or family. If you get caught you could get killed or punished.

Escaping was a very hard and diffucult task to compleet. Many escapes failed. If you got caught while escaping you would be punished very hard. So many slaves were afraid. And when the slaves were lucky and escaped without getting caught you still had a great chanche to die, because you had no food, no water and no shelter.

To escape from a plantation wasn't a easy job for a slave. You could get caught and punished or even killed. Even when they managed to escape, they didn't have a long, happy life because they had no food or water.
