Cotton went from being an expensive product to produce to a very profitable venture.

The invention of the cotton gin raised the amount of slaves in the South which was needed to operate the cotton gin. The South became a 'goldmine' because of the fast production by the cotton gin. Cotton became the South's most valuable medium of exchange.

Because of the cotton gin it was easier to produce cotton. More slaves were needed to produce more cotton plants.

it was very helpful to two parts in the south. first off it helped the growers because they were able to produce more faster and it helped the slaves because they didn't have to pick it by hand anymore. overall it helped the economy.

it made a massive change. the slaves who had become so inexpensive became really expensive again because they were needed to take car eof the cottonplants and towork with the cotton gin. so the slavery came back. and the cotton industy, which almost dissapared, became so big again that they named it the cotton king.

Cotton had became a very important product, because of the invention but that invention was quickly not original anymore. But the slave owners needed more slaves to produce it.
