The Dutch traded Africans in exchange for food and services in 1619. Are you or are you not ashamed of this as a Dutchman and do you feel responsible in some way?

To be honest we're not really ashamed. It's a long time ago and we couldn't do anything about it. On the other hand we need to pay Africa for what we have done. Because it's a shame that it happened. We live almost 400 years later and that are almost 5 generations. That the reason why we don't feel ashamed. It's too long ago for us to be ashamed in our opinion.

I don't feel ashamed for something that happened 400 years ago, ofcourse it was bad. A lot of countries did it thats not an excuse and the people that were slaves suffered. That time is over now and I don't feel responsible for that time.

I'm not ashamed that this has happened in the past. It has brought us the golden age. Sometimes you think; Had this could have been done differently? But I am ashamed not for.

We all agreed quickly. We are not ashamed of the slavery we did in 1619. Slavery is terrible and it's not good how the African people were treated by the Dutchman's. But the slavery was verry good for our country. We had a lot of overseas food and the Africans worked hard for us. The exchange of Africans have raised up a lot of money for our country. Around 1619 the Netherlands was one of the most popular and one of the most richest country of the world! And we are still one of the richest in the word. Thanks Africans.

We are not ashamed of what happened back in 1619. Ofcourse it was horrible, but we weren't born back then. So what could we have done about it? They shouldn't blame us for something that our ancestors did.

We are not ashamed of the things what happened back in 1619. It is of course not really fine to be seen as an descendant of the people who had exchanged, but so what. It is not our problem that the Netherlands was a big exchange country.

we all agreed that it was not good what happened in 1619, but we are not ashamed about it because it is a long time ago and we can't really change it.

We do not feel guilty or ashamed for the slavery in 1619. We think that there is no reason for us to feel ashamed. How could we have done something against the slavery, that was ages ago? Ofcourse we think that this shouldn't have happened or will happen again.
